What is most important is for you to phrase your affirmations for shifting in the present tense.
So, for example:
- Good: “I am in my desired reality.”
- Bad: “I will be in my desired reality.”
The reason this is so crucial is because of the Law of Correspondence, which we mentioned earlier, and the Law of Assumption.
Let’s say you are using the affirmation “I will be in my desired reality.” The problem with this affirmation is that by affirming you will be in your DR in the future, it is simultaneously affirming to you that you are not in your DR right now.
By the Law of Correspondence, that means your outer reality will reflect your inner belief: that you are not in your DR.
But if you instead say to yourself that you are in your DR currently, by the Law of Correspondence, your outer reality should adjust to match that belief.
The Law of Assumption tells us that what we assume is true will “harden into fact.” But for that to work, we need to behave and believe as if what we desire is already true.
The statement “I will be in my desired reality” is a statement about the future, not the present.
The statement “I am in my desired reality,” on the other hand, is a perfect fit for the Law of Assumption. When you say it, you are telling your mind that what you want is already happening.
